Nevin Dawson

Baritone Staff Singer

Bio

Nevin Dawson (baritone) has sung with the Penn State Glee Club, the Chester River Chorale, Church Hill Theater cabarets, and in several community theater productions, including Jesus Christ Superstar as Simon Zealotes. He also sings professionally with several local groups. A highlight of his singing career included a performance at Carnegie Hall. 

 

Dawson also studied viola at Penn State University and has played with Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra, Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. He currently teaches violin, viola, and cello at Music Life in Chestertown, MD. As a versatile player in many genres including classical, folk, and jazz, he also plays with Shore Strings, Harp & Soul, Front Porch Orchestra, and is featured on eight studio albums. He also performs solo shows featuring original music for electric violin and looper pedal. He recently served as violinist and music director for a production of The Last Five Years at Avalon Theater in Easton, MD.
