2000's

1990's
1980's

April, 1985 - "Old Time English Music Hall"
This was a unique presentation of London Music Hall songs with"The Pearlies of London" to benefit the Choral Arts Society, produced by Barbara Jaffray and directed by Robert Gray. The music hall , historically, was the prime means of entertainment and relaxation for Britian's working and middle class caught up in the industrial revolution. The Pearlies of London are a smaller group of the famous, "British Embassy Players" who present similar shows throughout the U.S. each summer to enthusiastic acclaim.

May, 1985 - Choral Arts Society Program
The Choral Arts Society presented this spring concert, conducted by Arthur Rhea at Christ Church in Easton. The chorus was joined by guest soloists, Julianne Baird, Marie Macklin, Sylvester Graves and James Valliant. Accompaniment included a chamber orchestra and James Derr as organist and harpsichordist. The program selected by Rhea featured three composers whose works are in the public eye these days, Amadeus Mozart, G. F. Handel and J. S. Bach; Mozart, because of the movie, "Amadeus" and Bach and Handel because of the tricentennial of their births. From Mozart was "Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, K. 339" and "Exsultate jubilate". The "Duet from Cantata No. 78" by Bach was performed as was "Chandos Anthem No. 1" and "Let Their Celestial Concerts All Unite" from the oratorio, Sampson by G. F. Handel.

December, 1985 - "A Talbot Christmas Concert"
This concert was directed by Steven Gilmer and accompanied by the Easton String Quartet and the Tred Avon Brass Quintet. The program included many holiday favorites, such as "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", "God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen", "Good King Wenceslas", "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "The First Nowell". Also performed was Hector Berlioz's "Thou Must Leave Thy Lowely Dwelling", Benjamin Britten's "Simple Symphony" and Giovanni Gabrieli's "Hodie Christus Natus Est". J. S. Bach's "Sleepers Awake!" and Mozart's "Regina Coeli, K. 276" completed the program.
