April,
1985 - "Old Time English Music Hall"
This was a unique presentation of London Music Hall songs with"The
Pearlies of London" to benefit the Choral Arts Society, produced by Barbara
Jaffray and directed by Robert Gray. The music hall , historically, was
the prime means of entertainment and relaxation for Britian's working and
middle class caught up in the industrial revolution. The Pearlies of London
are a smaller group of the famous, "British Embassy Players" who present
similar shows throughout the U.S. each summer to enthusiastic acclaim.
